“ZTR” PrJSC has signed new Contract for equipment supply for Georgia

“Zaporozhtransformator” Private Joint-Stock Company (ZTR) has signed a Contract for supply of autotransformers for Georgia as a part of reconstruction of 500 kV network-operated substations. The end Customer of the equipment is “Georgian State Electric System” JSC.

According to the Contract terms, ZTR will supply two autotransformers 167 MVA/500 kV for Zestafoni-500 substation and autotransformer 267 MVA/500 kV for Gardabani-500 substation.

Preparation for tender lasted about a year, during which negotiations with the equipment suppliers and the contracting organizations were held.
In addition to “Zaporozhtransformator” PrJSC, Chinese and Russian manufacturers of the transformer equipment took part in the tender, but the best price quotation and the fact that ZTR PrJSC proved itself in the Georgian market as the manufacturer of high-quality and reliable equipment became the decisive when choosing the Supplier.

Within the process of the tender preparftion, ZTR had to face a number of difficulties, one of which was that all tender documentation should be issued only in Georgian. However, this did not prevent ZTR from winning the landslide victory in the Georgian tender.

At the moment, design documentation for this project is already in process. The equipment delivery is scheduled for the 4th quarter of 2020.
This is not the first supply of the transformers for Georgia. Last year, ZTR successfully delivered 125 MVA unit transformer for the Cascade of Drop HPPs.

ZTR team is grateful to the Georgian power engineers for their trust and further hopes for development of fruitful collaboration with Georgian State Electric System as for receiving new mutually beneficial orders.
